Tour + Review + Guest Post: Red Carpet Day Job by @TashCotter

Red Carpet Day Job by Tasha Cotter

Genres: New Adult, Contemporary Romance

Most residents of New York City don’t have to wrestle
their skirts from beneath roosting chickens, or clean
egg yolk off their stilettos each day before work. But Sophie Waldrop does, thanks to the organic egg business her boyfriend Scott runs from their 5th floor walk-up. Though they were high school sweethearts, nothing can make up for Scott’s inattention now. Finally, Sophie works up the courage to send him and his chickens packing.

Then Sophie’s boss introduces her to Nick Jackson, the hottest up-and-coming actor in Hollywood. When Nick asks her to go to a red carpet awards show with him, Sophie can’t believe her luck. She never expected to meet Nick, let alone like him. And she certainly never expected him to like her, too.

When her dream job lands in her lap, Sophie rejoices that her hard work has finally paid off. But she soon finds out that being a busy agent to the stars is nothing compared to being Nick Jackson's new girlfriend. Tabloid tell-alls, Nick’s hectic schedule, persistent leading ladies, and Sophie’s own promotion and career ambitions further complicate their fairy-tale romance.

Can Sophie and Nick make their love last, or will their relationship be more like the paparazzi’s camera flashes—fast, bright, and fading?
Sometimes you just have to indulge in a sweet romance that'll sweep you away, and Red Carpet Day Job is just that! There's enough humor to keep it lighthearted, and I loved the way this book made me feel. It's a guilty pleasure read that I couldn't say no to!

Tasha Cotter writes in such a way that you can't help but be swept up in the story. The descriptions are vivid and instantly put you alongside the characters. Speaking of characters, oh my gosh! They all felt so real and authentic. And they'll keep you guessing! I loved getting to know all of them, but enjoyed Sophie so much. She's the type of girl I wanna have a glass wine and chat with!

Red Carpet Day Job is the romantic adventure you've been waiting for, love addicts! Read it for yourself and find out if you're Team Nick or Team Scott. Either way, you'll fall in love with Red Carpet Day Job!

Top 10 Movies by Tasha Cotter

First! A word of caution on this list!

I don’t actually watch a LOT of movies! I’m more of a Hulu/ sitcom binge watcher (I’m a long-time devotee of shows like 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and The West Wing) BUT I’m gonna give this my best shot. Here we go…

The Talented Mr. Ripley -- This is hands-down one of the best movies, ever. I’m dead serious. The casting is perfect: Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Matt Damon. Based on the Patricia Highsmith novel, the movie takes place in New York and Italy. It’s gorgeous to watch and I absolutely love watching Ripley turn and turn until he becomes this murderous monster, no longer recognizable to anyone. Not even himself.

Little Women -- Because I’m a die-hard fan of the book, it was only natural that I would fall in love with the movie -- and nothing beats the Winona Ryder version, btw. In my mind, Jo March will always look like Winona Ryder and Laurie will always be Christian Bale. This movie brought the book to life in such a great way for me.

Christmas Vacation -- This movie is something my family watches Every. Single. Christmas. At least once. Some people like Will Ferrell’s Elf, some are all about It’s a Wonderful Life….I’ve always loved this movie. I like to laugh, what can I say? Chevy Chase is at his best. My favorite character? Cousin Eddie, of course.

The Royal Tenenbaums -- This movie took a while to grow on me, but the more I see it, the more I love it. I just love Wes Anderson movies, in general (it was hard not to include Moonrise Kingdom on this list). There’s something about his use of color and cinematography that just appeals to me. I love the narrative of this movie and I came to adore these characters. Anderson infuses them with whimsy and comedic charm. I can’t resist.

Amelie -- I immediately loved this movie when it was first assigned to me in a college french class. I think I was spellbound by the bright colors, dazzling cinematography, but more than anything, by the narrative. It’s the story of a woman who ultimately decides to do something daring with her unremarkable life. What’s the movie about? It’s about how life will surprise you. It’s about destiny. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Montmartre is the setting for such a dream-like story.

High Fidelity -- I’m a big Nick Hornby fan and so when I found out about this movie, I had to see it right away -- I loved the book. I thought John Cusack was the perfect Rob Gordon. He’s an underdog. He’s an anti-hero. I loved how the story follows a guy who was obsessed by music and how he’s writing about his top 5 break-ups (including the one in-progress). And then there’s Jack Black! Is there anything better than when Jack Black performs on stage? I don’t think so.

Lost in Translation -- I knew this movie was special the first time I saw it. I generally really, really like Sofia Coppola movies. They’re artistic. They’re gorgeous. And they also go deep within whatever world they’re inhabiting (and BONUS: there’s usually a terrific soundtrack). For me, the magic of this movie is in the casting: Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray are perfect together, set adrift in their own lives, finding themselves there and not there, together, in Tokyo.

Jurassic Park -- I was only nine years old when this movie came out, but it changed my life. It really, really did. I saw it multiple times in the theatre and then begged my parents to let me get the VHS. I was always a science nerd in school. I shopped at the Discovery Channel store. (I actually owned a t-shirt displaying the cats of North America, for some reason.) I took all the high level science courses in school. So this movie kind of ruled my life. I wanted to be Sam Neill, digging up dinosaur bones in some far off place.

When Harry Met Sally... -- Because I love to laugh and because I’m a sucker for a good love story, this movie just clicked with me. Billy Crystal is phenomenal and I love the way he makes Meg Ryan laugh in the movie. You can just see over the course of time they stay with each other. They never forget. Their story is so good and so funny. And when I first saw it, it was an unusual story. Not the kind of love story I was used to seeing. And I liked that. The movie takes a long view of love. (Isn’t Nora Ephron an absolute genius?)

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind -- This is a more complicated pick for me. I’m including it on this list because it shook me up when I first saw it. I was twenty years old and with a group of my best friends. This movie made me feel something I hadn’t in a long time. It’s hard to say what that was, exactly, but the movie made me feel. It made me cry. And think. And laugh. I can’t really even watch the movie again because of how powerful it was for me. But I listen to the soundtrack (Jon Brion -- another creative genius) all the time and when I do, I’m twenty again, sitting in that dark theatre with my very best friends and we’re all young and in love with life and trying to grow up and figuring out how to do that.

We sat in comfortable silence, lost in our own thoughts. The splash of the water in the fountain echoed off of the buildings around us. The steady hum of traffic and the occasional toot of a horn in the distance added its own music to the night. It was beautiful. Tiny fairy lights that had been strung on the trees sparkled against the skyscraper backdrop.
Nick looked so sexy, so at ease, sitting beside me. I fished out my phone and snapped a picture of him. He arched a brow.
“I just wanted something to remember this moment by,” I shrugged.
“How about a better picture then?”
I thumbed open the photo gallery, and clicked on the picture I’d just taken. “Nope. This one’s perfect.” And it was. He looked relaxed, comfortable. Not posed or stiff as he often looked in movie posters.
“Well, I think I should have one of you too, then. Smile, Sophie.”
I faced him, a genuine smile curving my lips. It had been so long since I’d felt this happy—too long. And it had also been too long since I’d visited this place. It used to be my favorite place in the city. When had I stopped coming?
“Penny for your thoughts.”
“I was just thinking how much I love it here.”
He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, his fingers lingering on my pulse point. “I usually don’t, but tonight I do. Must be the company I’m keeping.” He picked up my hand and squeezed gently. “Tell me something more.”
“I used to dream of living here in the Big Apple, doing my dream job―a talent agent to the stars.” I leaned my head on his shoulder. “I pictured what it would be like.”
“And what did you see?” He pressed a kiss to my temple.
“It looked a lot like this, right now. Sitting under the stars, happy at the end of the day.” I peeked up at him. “I’ll never think of Union Square the same again. It’ll always be special, because of you.”
He pointed at the fountain. “You know, a very famous couple once jumped in there?”
“Really? Who?”
Nick got up and walked toward the fountain. “Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald. They were the stars of their day, you know. The King and Queen of New York. They did it just for the hell of it. Isn’t that incredible?”
“It is. But I don’t believe you.” I lingered on the bench for a moment, enjoying the night, and then followed him to the edge of the fountain. Nick crossed his heart. “It’s the truth. I swear.”
“I don’t know. It sounds like you’re making it up.”
“Maybe I should push you in. Create our own moment so some future couple can argue about it. It could be like that scene from The Princess Diaries 2.”
“Maybe you should. But, if I were reenacting that scene, I’d do it a bit differently.”
“Oh, yeah? What would you do?”
I grinned and set my hands on his shoulders. “This.”
I shoved him backward, and he bumped into the low edge of the fountain. He reached for me, but I danced away. He lost his balance and fell into the fountain with a loud splash.
He stood, water streaming over him. His almost-transparent shirt revealed a six-pack that most guys would kill for. Heat rushed over my skin, burning away the chill of the night air.
“You do realize you’re going to pay for that, right?”
“Yeah. I certainly hope I do.”

Tour + Review: The Core by @autr_katethomas @lastarkey

Title: The Core
Series: Equilibrium Series I
Author: Kate Thomas
Release Date: February 12th
Publisher: Patchwork Press
There’s something strange about David, something
that goes beyond the way he makes Ellie feel. He’s
wealthy, poised, and a complete enigma. With nothing to lose but her heart, Ellie goes in search of the truth — a search that leads her down an eye-opening path that reveals secrets about the world she thought she knew.
The world’s order is held in careful balance, the essence of good and evil tilting the scale. When the fabric of reality is stripped away, Ellie is forced to make a decision to follow the path David’s constructed before her or simply walk away. The Core is missing and someone must step up and stand between the light and darkness, holding each back and maintaining equilibrium.
Goodreads | Amazon

First things first, I promise you've never read anything like The Core. As I started reading this book, I thought I had it figured out. But the author throws so many twists and turns that I was on the edge of my seat until the very last page! It was inventive and refreshing to read The Core.

Ellie and David have a very unusual relationship. It's definitely a slow burn, and I enjoyed it. The ending came too soon, though. Just as I was cheering the two on, the story came to an end. I'm patiently waiting for the next book! I really like Ellie as a character. She was admirable and relatable, both of which are always good things! I do wish she would have asked questions more quickly, though. Curiosity was killing me!

As I mentioned, I'm already chomping at the bit for the next book in this series! Just after reading The Core, I'm hooked! Readers will love the suspense of Ellie and David's unfolding story just as I have, I'm sure!

“You do realize that there is absolutely no chance of us actually getting away with this, right?” Ellie whispered loudly in the small confines of the car.
“There’s no need to whisper. We’re in a car by ourselves, Elle.” Jacob kept his eyes on the car in front of them, the large figure of his sister’s boss moving languidly from the Lincoln to cross the busy street. “Besides, it’s the holidays, and it’s far too busy in this neighborhood for Mr. Kelley to notice us.”
A soft sigh resounded beside him, and sounds of fidgeting filled the air. Ellie was rarely the type to be nervous or overcome with emotion of any sort. If anyone was capable of a stakeout operation, it was most certainly his twin sister. She was only a few minutes older than him, but years ahead in maturity and intellectual curiosities, to be sure. He smiled as he felt the overwhelming heat of her stare. Paying her no attention would be more fun than giving in to her well-founded fits of worry.
“I know you know I’m looking at you, Jacob.” Her punch was much too light to be anything but playful.
He glanced her way only briefly, a smirk on his mouth his only response. He was used to responding non-verbally.
“It’s not me you should be watching, but your illustrious boss. I didn’t come out in the freezing cold to spend my night in a car, hanging out with my bratty older sister. I came to see if I could help you get a few answers. Pay attention!” He turned the heater up, and the previously fogged window cleared, showing a row of beautifully decorated mansions.
Christmas was in full effect on Ebert Street, and the wealthy citizens of the neighborhood spent loads outdoing their friends and family. Their study for the evening was a Mr. David Kelley, Ellie’s boss for the last two years. He was an investor of other people’s money, a financial advisor by some standards and a bookie by others.
“I am paying attention, but I don’t know what you expect to find by sitting outside of a luxurious home in the middle of winter. It’s the holidays, so yes, David goes to parties and wines and dines the rich and famous. What did you think we would find tonight?” She added softly, “I didn’t even ask you to come.”
Jacob turned to face his sister. “You most certainly did ask me to come. You’ve been bitching for the last two years about your boss’s oddities, and it was you that wanted to start looking into his personal life.”
“Not his personal life, but I wanted to see what it is that he does with his time.” She turned to face him as well, a defiant look spreading across her features. “How does someone make more money than God and never really DO anything? Besides, you’ve been wanting a reason to see the Christmas lights in Westchester for years.”
“Christmas lights, pff …” He rolled his eyes. “I want to hear it or I’m leaving.”
“Hear what?” Confusion spread across her features.
“I want to hear that you asked me to come, and that this is your operation.”
“Don’t be ridiculous, Jacob.”
He turned to face the windshield and moved to put the car in reverse before her hand clamped down on his shoulder. “Fine. Fine. You’re such a child, but if I need to say it, I will. I wanted you to help me figure out who my boss really is and what he’s up to. There, I said it.”
Jacob put his hands in his lap and looked back at his sister. “Why?”
“Why what?”
He sighed before continuing. “Why did you want me to help you? You’ve been with Mr. Kelley for the last two years. Why now?”
Ellie began fidgeting again, her eyes moving from his face to focus somewhere in her lap as her fingers brushed by one another. She didn’t speak for a minute, and he didn’t give her comfort or afford her any alternative besides answering him. He’d been pulled into this unfounded operation, and he deserved a reason for the sudden change in her behavior. She glanced at him and then exhaled loudly, as if realizing that she was, in fact, going to have to share some information that she must’ve wanted to keep to herself.
“Fine. I wanted to know what he was doing because he’s so mysterious, and I’ve yet to figure out what it is that he does. Not to mention that every time I see him I’m reminded of how unbelievably attractive he is. Maybe my only motive is that I just wanted to sit here and stare at him.”
“Liar. Sell that crap to someone else. Tell me the truth or my car and I are outta here.”
“What? He’s hot!” She paused and received a look from her brother that pushed her to continue. “God, you’re so difficult at times. I would totally do this with you if you asked, and I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass why you wanted me to.”
“That’s a lie too. You’d never do this in a million years with me, and you’d most likely call me creepy for wanting to do it. Enough … why are we here? What did you see? Or did you hear something?”
“Both. A few days ago I came in an hour early, and the smell of Clorox hit me in the face like nothing you’ve ever smelled. I dropped my things quietly and walked down to Mr. Kelley’s office, peeking in to see if everything was alright.” She paused and looked at Jacob and then back toward her hands, her large chestnut gaze filled with foreign emotion. “He was only in his slacks, and parts of his chest and back were covered in what looked like blood. There was blood on his floor and a bit on the walls.”
“Good God, Elle. Did you call the police? Was he hurt, or did someone get hurt?”
“That’s the weird part. I never saw anything but the blood and, being a bit overwhelmed by it, I simply left and called in sick that day. I wasn’t sure what to do about it. I can’t imagine him hurting someone, since he’s such a pillar of the community and such. Besides, what if it wasn’t blood, or what if he’d cut his finger or something?”
“Cut his finger? Don’t you think the amount of blood or whatever would be slightly less than what you’re describing from a papercut? Just because he gives to the people around him doesn’t mean he’s not a monster underneath all that Daddy Warbucks stuff.”
She nodded and sunk down in her seat as the large figure jogged back from the house toward his car. The man stopped before getting into the back seat of the Lincoln and focusing for a minute on Jacob’s car, the tilt of his head and bend of his neck telling Jacob one thing—he wasn’t looking at Jacob, but at Ellie.
“We need to go,” she whispered and covered her face with her small hands.

Sometimes you have to let go to really live. Sometimes being alive means taking risks.

Review of Learning to Live
I have loved the Infinite Love series, and I feel like Learning to Live is such a wonderful addition to it. Kira Adams writes with such emotion that you can't help but be drawn into the lives of her characters. Learning to Live was no different. It is packed with so much heart and soul. It's very rare that I get THIS attached to characters, but the author has such a way with making her stories seem so real.

Ciera was such a sweet character. I have a huge soft spot for her, and I had such an urge to protect her! Topher is her perfect match, and I loved watching their relationship blossom. Even though their love story is amazing, it also has a tinge of sadness to it. I dived in head first and wound up in tears by the end of the book. It's a bittersweet ending that you know is coming, but you still aren't prepared for it.

Readers will fall in love with Kira Adams after reading this emotional tale. It's the perfect beginning to the Infinite Love series. I couldn't imagine a better way than to indulge in Kira Adams' new adult fiction than with this book!

**I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review with no compensation.

I close my eyes when I feel his warm breath next to my ear. “Open your eyes.”

I oblige and he is staring intently into my eyes. “I am so sorry,” he says softly, his eyebrows creasing. “I am so sorry for being such an asshole to you. I am so sorry for standing idly by while my friends made your life a living hell. Even though I never noticed you before, it’s not because you were any less of a person…it’s because I was. You have the most beautiful heart. You are an incredible person, Ciera. I’m sorry it took me so long to realize this.”

I run my fingers gently across his jawline, looking at the handsome boy in front of me. Why now? Why are you saying all of this now? I pull his face close to mine, and close my lips upon his softly, my heart hurting. It’s happening…and pretty soon, I’m not going to be able to stop it. I can feel myself falling for Topher with every brush of our lips, every slight touch or deep stare we share. It’s unfair to him, I know this. But what seems more unfair is the possibility that I could pass away without ever knowing the meaning of true love. Maybe all of this is happening for a reason? Maybe it’s finally my turn to really live.

Nothing is ever certain. Life is simply a mixture of possibilities and choices. I’m choosing to embrace this change. I know I am going to have to be honest with him eventually, but for now, I am going to enjoy the ride for as long as possible.

Release Blitz + 2 Giveaways: This is the Wonder by Tracey Ward

This is the Wonder by Tracey Ward

Publication date: February 19th 2015
Genres: Comedy, New Adult, Romance

From the moment I saw him – all blue eyes and
American pie – I knew I’d never be the same.

Determined to escape the pressure of her impending graduation, Wren Porter chooses to take a semester in Europe. She’s there to study, party, and hide from the question that’s haunting her – What’s next?

At least that’s the plan until one night in Munich when she meets Jax, an American soldier stationed overseas. He’s charming, he’s handsome, and in one small act of kindness he becomes Wren’s own personal hero. Suddenly the two are swept up in a mad romance that will cross countries, break laws, and leave them both breathless.

But Jax has questions about his own future and when reality comes calling their bond is put to the test. Are they only meant to have the nights they shared together in Europe, or could they be so much more?

Could they be the future they’ve both been looking for?
Jax calls and I seriously consider ignoring him, but it’s a weak move and I’m bigger than that. I don’t run, I don’t hide, and if this is going to hurt then so be it. That’s life. If I didn’t want to run the risk of saying goodbye, I never should have said hello.
“When is your flight?” he asks.
His voice is horrible. It’s salt on the wound. It’s deep and slow, like he’s dragging time out. Laying it down and asking it to be still.
“Day after tomorrow. Early.”
“Can I take you to the airport?”
I close my eyes, so touched and so reluctant. Jax standing tall and beautiful in the airport watching me walk away to get on the plane – just the thought of it threatens to bring tears to my eyes.
“Wren?”
“I don’t want to say goodbye to you,” I whisper.
He breathes calmly but it sounds forced. “Let me take you to the airport tomorrow.”
“I don’t leave until the day after.”
“I’ll come get you tomorrow. We’ll have one more day. Give me one more day and then I’ll take you to the airport in the morning.”
I hesitate. I want it so badly. I don’t know what he has planned but I want to find out. I trust him implicitly. I’d follow him to the ends of the earth and, really, has he steered me wrong yet?
“Don’t say no,” he pleads.
“Yes.”
“Yeah?”
I smile. “Yeah.”
“I’ll be there in the morning. Early. And, Wren?”
“Yeah?”
“You won’t be sorry.”

***

There’s a brittle cold snap to the air the next morning. It stings my eyes when I step outside and freezes my breath in my lungs. I could stay inside but I’ve already said my goodbyes and I don’t want to say anymore. Definitely not this last one.
Just as the first of many fat, fluffy snowflakes begin to fall around me, Jax’s car comes gliding down the road. He parks in front of me, throws on his hazards, and gets out to help me load my bags.
“What are you doing standing out here in the cold?” he asks, lifting two suitcases like they don’t weigh more than I do. “You should have waited inside.”
“I couldn’t stand to be in there anymore. I’m ready to go. All of this has been looming ever since finals and I just want it to be over.”
I don’t have a ton of bags. I travel light and all of it fits into Jax’s trunk and back seat easily. He has a small black duffle bag back there too and my heart leaps at the thought of spending one last day with him. One last night in his arms. Under his hands.
By the time we reach Frankfurt the snow is coming down heavily and the roads are getting dangerous. Jax sees my tension as the conditions worsen. He knows I can’t handle being on the roads much longer.
“I had a whole day planned,” he explains, his voice barely rising above the purr of the engine and the crunch of the wheels on the freezing asphalt. “We were going to go to Cologne. It’s really beautiful. The entire city was nearly destroyed in World War II and this church is one of the few buildings that survived the bombings. We were going to have lunch there, then dinner in Frankfurt.”
“That would have been nice.”
“There are a lot of places I wish I had time to take you to.”
I smile faintly as I stare out the window at the falling snow covering everything, the ancient streets and the new buildings. The old world and the new world being blanketed together as though they’re the same. As though they’re not separated by hundreds of years, hundreds of lives.
Hundreds of stories that have played out between them, all of them the same but somehow different. Each one unique in its own right.
Jax and I are nothing new. Our situation is the same as so many others that happened before us. What makes us different is how we live it. How we write our story.
How we author our own fairy tale.
I roll my head toward him and smile. “I want to see Moscow with you.”
He glances at me, surprised. “Oh yeah?”
“Yeah. I’ve always wanted to visit Russia. I want to do that with you. Let’s go tomorrow.”
“I thought you had a flight to catch.”
“But if I didn’t, would you go with me?”
“In a heartbeat.”
“So we’ll visit Moscow. Then where?”
“Japan,” he says, no hesitation. “I want to see Japan with you.”
“All of it?”
“Every square mile.”
“That’ll take a while.”
He looks at me steadily. “We’ve got nothing but time, right?”
I smile encouragingly. “Right.”

Review: The Donor by Nikki Rae

The Donor (Parts 1-3) by Nikki Rae

Genres: New Adult, Paranormal

Casey Williams and her family are poor. Her parents
work non-stop and so does she, just so they can keep
the trailer roof from leaking. They’re getting by fine enough when the headaches start. Then there’s the nosebleeds. And the inevitable doctor’s bills. Fortunately for Casey, there’s MyTrueMatch.com: an exclusive, quick, and almost easy way to pay it all back before her parents even have to know. All she has to do is give a man she’s never met whatever he wants from her body.

Inside or out.
There was a lot of depth to The Donor that shocked me. It wasn't what I expected at all, but that is not a bad thing! The story is told at alternating times by Casey. I found it to be a very clever and effective way of storytelling for Nikki Rae.

Casey's situation is a difficult one. At times, it was almost uncomfortable to read her thoughts and what she was going through. But that's what is important. Many people are facing situations similar to hers, and it gave me an even deeper respect for what people are willing to endure and sacrifice for their loved ones.

The Donor is an emotional rollercoaster culminating in a bittersweet end that left me at a loss for words. I devoured this book in one go at it. It captivated me. As heartbreaking as the ending is, I have to recommend this to paranormal fans and those who love a dose of reality with their books. It's one I won't soon forget.

Priya in Heels Tour: Review & Giveaway

Priya in Heels by Ayesha Patel

Genres: New Adult, Contemporary Romance

A new adult title from Entangled’s Embrace imprint…

Love doesn’t conquer all…does it?

Priyanka Patel is the epitome of an obedient daughter. She’s finishing up her medical residency at one of Houston’s busiest emergency departments, and has agreed—albeit reluctantly—to marry the man her family has chosen for her. The only thing that can derail the “perfect” life laid out before her is the sexy musician down the hall who wants into her life…and into her bed.

Tyler O’Connor has been infatuated with Priya since she treated his sprained ankle in the ER, and after saving her from a brutal attack, he can't get her out of his head. When Priya puts her family's wishes before their relationship, agreeing to an arranged marriage with another man, Tyler is devastated.

But love is fierce and unreasonable and clashes with the carefully sculpted life her parents want for her. Is going after her heart such a big deal, or will it truly unravel Priya’s world?
We all know I struggle with New Adult. I was skeptical about Priya in Heels. As soon as I saw that Tyler was a musician, I prepared myself for disappoint. But Ayesha Patel surprised me entirely and delivered a clever book that I adored!

Not only did the author deliver on witty characters who stood out on their own and a slow-building romance that I supported so easily, she gave me a glimpse into the culture of India. I devoured the details of Priya's heritage right along with the budding romance. Ayesha Patel was able to weave a book as rich in detail and beautiful as the culture she focused on.

The characters in Priya in Heels were so enjoyable and diverse. Priya's friends often had me laughing at their antics. As for Priya and Tyler, I was sold and swooning from the very start. The romance wasn't heavy handed or dark like I've sadly come to expect with New Adult. It was light and charming in the best of ways.

If you're a fan of Big Bang Theory or Penny Reid, then you'll find a new favorite with Priya in Heels. It's a smart romance filled to the brim with enjoyable characters and endearing love.
