Recommend some of your favorite back-list books – books that are at least a few years old (I’m thinking 5-10 years old rather than classics)
- The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris (2001-2013)
- Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling (1997-2007)
- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert (2006)
- The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown (2003)
- The Help by Kathryn Stockett (2009)
Honorable mention (Books that I want to read, but haven't yet)
- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (2005)
- Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen (2006)
- Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides (2002)

I'm surprised I haven't seen HP more with this FF! Thanks for stopping by, Andrea!
DeleteHopping through. I loved Water for Elephants. The movie was good but not nearly as good as the book.
ReplyDeleteMy FF
I've yet to watch the movie. I'm trying to hold off until I get around to reading the book! Thanks for stopping by! Happy Friday!
DeleteWhat is this Southern Vampire Series?! I am going to check that out purely on the basis of the title. Because it sounds awesome. And I can back you up on Water for Elephants and The Book Thief. And obviously Harry Potter should really be on every list haha
ReplyDeleteOld follower! Thanks for stopping by :)
It is so good! It's definitely a rollercoaster of a series, but I adore it. They based the True Blood show on HBO on it, but it does the book absolutely no justice.
DeleteOnce I get finished with this round of ARCs, The Book Thief is going to be one of my first reads!
Thanks for stopping by, Elizabeth!
Great Picks! :)
ReplyDeleteI have not heard about Southern Vampire Series but have read the rest.. :)

DeleteI didn't even think of including Harry Potter, but it's a great choice. Also i've read the Southern Vampire Mysteries and they are also a great choice. Don't think the tv show is exactly the same, cause it's not!

I know! I absolutely loathe True Blood. It totally went against everything I loved in the SVM books. Thanks for following and stopping by!
DeleteI love that you call it The Southern Vampire Mysteries! That's how I always called it too! At some point they changed it too the Sookie Stackhouse Series, not as much fun I think!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT day!

Yes!! Preach! It will always be The Southern Vampire Mysteries to me! Not Sookie Stackhouse, not True Blood. SVM! I put my ranty pants on this morning. :) Thanks for stopping by, Jess!

ReplyDeleteThanks! And thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI am embarrassed to admit that I have never read The DaVinci Code despite my love of Historical Mysteries. He's one the most popular authors in the genre. I think I resist him cause he's too mainstream. Pathetic, I know!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Happy FF, Old follower!
Cassi @ My Thoughts Literally
Not even pathetic! I get that way, too. But if you can ever overcome your aversion, it's a great read! Thanks for stopping by, Cassi!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe I forgot about The DaVinci Code. And Angels & Demons!
Great post, and grats on all of your new followers! :)
Hah! My guy gave me the side-eye when I brought it home because of pray in the title! But I do recommend it!
