Mug o' Comfort Swap Reveal

Hey, y'all! About a month ago, I posted about joining the Mug o' Comfort Swap from the gals at Chaotic Goddess Swaps. I've done plenty of their swaps before, but never this one. And it was so fun!

I was paired with Sarah at Sarahphrasing Life! She's such a sweetheart, and I loved getting to know her! And now for what you're all waiting for; my goodies! 

I loooove the mug she sent. It's the perfect size for a cup of tea! (And I've had a million out of it with this nasty sinus infection I've got going on!) By the time I took this picture, all of the candies were already eaten! Hah. And the notebook was incredibly thoughtful.

  Hey, y'all! Things have been slow and quit around here lately, so I thought I'd fill everyone in! I took two weeks away from the blog and all social media just to spend time with Chris and our families. It was just what I needed. But so much has happened in those two weeks, so time to dish!

  Notice the adorable bookish cat bookends? Chris picks out the best gifts, y'all! He even got me a pair of Hobbit House Slippers from ThinkGeek. SQUEE! (I haven't taken them off since Christmas Morning. No judgement.)

I joined in SO many swaps for Christmas! But it was so much fun. I'm so glad I got to meet the bloggers and make new friends!

 I was paired up with Stephanie from Once Upon A Chapter, and she spoiled me! It was so exciting to know that each morning I had a new gift waiting on me! There were so many great things in my package; Harry Potter candles, books, and TEA! There was even a present for Abi. Thank you so much, Stephanie! You rocked my socks!

So. I squealed with glee when I got this box and immediately began reading the books included! Only one of them was on my wishlist, but I think Jennifer has some spidey sense because she sent book that are all AMAZING for me! I've read 3 of the 5 now, and I've loved them all! I didn't even snap a picture before I started reading. :/ Shame on me, I know! But I'm so thankful to have met Jennifer from Inner Workings of the Female Mind through these swaps! We were paired up for 3 or 4 different swaps, and I have enjoyed making a new friend!

  So, yesterday we had our first snow of the season! (It was glorious.) On Thursday, I'll be recruiting Chris to help me drag out one of our Christmas trees to put up. My Pinterest is filled with Christmas baking and decorating ideas. The holiday spirit has arrived in my house, and I am welcoming it with open arms. Which is why I've went crazy and signed up for several winter/holiday blogger swaps! If you're in the holiday spirit like me already, you should totally sign up for these swaps! They'll be SO much fun. And we may even be matched up as partners!

Your Swap Objective

Fill a package with 12 wrapped presents (one present may consist of more than 1 item, if desired) for your partner that you, yourself, would love to receive. Total package cost must be $40-$50, before shipping, to ensure relative value.

• When you are assigned your partner, get to know them, and send items in your package that fit your partner’s wants and likes.

• Your packages MUST be mailed on or before July 18th/19th.

The Favorite Color Swap Reveal

  Oh my gosh, you guys! I've been stalking watching the Chaotic Goddess Swaps since I started blogging. Whenever I saw that this month they were doing one based on favorite colors, I knew I had to join in! And I'm so glad I did.

  My swap partner was Beverly from Booklady's Booknotes. I chose teal/seafoam/mint green (because who can pick just one shade?), and she chose pink! I had a lot of fun learning about Beverly and hunting down pink things for her!

  I didn't get to take any cool pictures of the box or opening it. Sadface. The mail lady met me at the door and had already stamped "Delivered Damaged" all over the box. Beverly had included a set of mugs and painted wine glasses. USPS was not kind to the package. They ignored the fragile warnings on the box. All four items were broken and shattered. Because Beverly is awesome, she's filing an insurance claim with USPS and sending replacements. She's awesome, I know!

Dove Dark Chocolate and Mint. I'm not a fan of chocolate. But I'm addicted to Andes Mints. Beverly must have read my mind because the chocolate she sent tastes exactly like an Andes mint! I devoured these. No shame.

Nail Polish. I love nail polish. I have crazy strong and resilient natural nails, so I'm always painting them. I loved both of these colors. I'm wearing one as I type this!

Sand and Sea Candle. Who doesn't love candles, yeah? This one smells so good. I've stashed it for one of my candles and incenses moments that will roll around soon!

Finn Finnegan by Darby Karchut book. I was so excited to see this book in the package. It's more middle grade, but I'm sure I'll love it.

Cake Plate. You guys. I know you can't see it well, but the cake plate. Beverly used a candle stick and a plate to make the most adorable cake plate. I'm already making big plans for it for the wedding. :)

  Beverly also included a very sweet card! I loved doing this swap and getting to know Beverly! Thank you so much for my wonderful gifts! I can't wait to join in for the next swap. :)

Favorite Color Blogger Swap: I'm so doing this!

  I've been hearing about the Chaotic Goddess Swaps for awhile now, but I haven't gotten the nerve to sign up yet. I cannot resist this time, though! The hardest part about signing up? Picking my favorite color. Even though I usually claim purple or green if I have to, my favorite color changes daily. I went with mint green/teal/seafoam. I've been totally feeling it lately! Anyway, I'm going to put all of the rules and info below. Go sign up using the banner above! Maybe we'll even be swap partners.
