Happy Book Birthday, Into the Darkness!!!
It was supposed to be a way to end the devastation in the Middle East, butinstead a darkness is unleashed unlike anything the world has ever seen before.Ike Glass is well versed in chaos, but even he is unprepared for what the world will become after the outbreak. Ace Cullen has been loyal to his country ever since he was brought to the states as a young boy, but it’s difficult to stand by a country that can’t even take responsibility for their own actions. Phoenix Blue just wants a night of mindless sex… is that too much to ask? Always a black sheep, she shocks everyone as she finds the strength inside herself to protect the ones she cares about, and fight to see another day. They were strangers when the virus took over, but tragedy will bring them together in ways they never thought possible as they descend into the darkness.
At first, I was torn about Phoenix. She definitely has an attitude. But she's real. I cannot imagine going through what she experiences without having some sort of mood disruption. There are so many impossible situations that she faces head on without even blinking. And Cullen? Shew. It look a minute for me to fall for him, but once I did, I fell hard and fast. Who can say no to a British accent anyways?!
This book truly is amazing. There's everything you could want. A main character that isn't a pansy, a swoon-worthy British man, zombies!, and twists and turns that you'll never see coming! If you're a post-apocalyptic fan, you will surely love Into the Darkness. I know I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
